Here's a quick little pattern for Michael's fedora. It can easily be customized to fit any amigurumi doll.
Materials Used
Steel hook 2.75 mm
Yarn [weight: medium (4) 100% acrylic]: black
Stitch marker
Scissors
Yarn needle
Key
R = row/round
MR = magic ring
X = single crochet
V = increase
* = repeat
BLO = back loop only
FLO = front loop only
FO = finish off
Notes
Pattern is worked in continuous rounds.

R2: 6V = 12
R3: (X, V) *6 = 18
R4: (2X, V) *6 = 24
R5: (3X, V) *6 = 30
R6: (4X, V) *6 = 36
R7: (5X, V) *6 = 42
R8: (6X, V) *6 = 48
R9: (7X, V) *6 = 54
R10: BLO 54X = 54
R11-15: 54X = 54
R16: FLO (8X, V) *6 = 60
R17: (9X, V) *6 = 66
R18: (10X, V) = 72, FO
There you have it. A nice little fedora for your amigurumi!
